Laura Kina is the Vincent de Paul Professor at The Art School at DePaul University and curator of the current exhibition of textile art by Shelly Jyoti at South Asia Institute, titled “Indigo: The Blue Gold.” Kina and Jyoti’s association goes back to 2009. They have been working together closely since then in different shows exhibiting Jyoti’s textile works chronicling indigo’s history.

In this upcoming tour, curator Laura Kina will give an insight into the works displayed in the exhibition, their significance, and their curatorial approach.
